OK the last 50 posts or whatever that I have made to this list have
involved me making some new X-Plane update available for you to
download and play with.
OK, WHATEVAH.
Now let's get some stuff DONE.
X-Plane's market share compared to Microsoft is tiny, and I USED to
think that maybe it was because Microsoft's scenery was better.
Well, I flew Microsoft flight sim last night for the first time in
about 5 years... and I don't think that any more.
So, let me just put it this way: X-Plane has way, way, way, way, way,
WAY more to offer than people know about, and now we just have to
SHOW THEM what X-Plane has to offer.
How do we do this?
I give you: THE FIRST OFFICIAL X-PLANE VIDEO CONTEST.
I've purchased an AWESOME soundtrack to use for this contest, and
I've made it insanely easy to record QuickTime movies in X-Plane. As
well, iMovie is FREE for Mac-users (and is PERFECT for making these
types of music videos... it takes maybe 15 minutes to learn how to
use... it is just GREAT), and there is editing software available for
windows users as well.
So, go here to learn about the contest and get the soundtrack:
http://www.x-plane.com/video.html
Go here to get the latest beta:
http://www.x-plane.com/beta.html
and email me the movie when you are done!
use yousendit.com to send the movie if you like, and make it at
whatever resolution you like... I am thinking 512x348 may be about
right.
